ASID ACCELERATE STUDIO: BUSINESS STRATEGIES DEBUTS IN LOS ANGELES
Washington, D.C. (Mar. 5, 2014) | The American Society of Interior Designers announces ASID Accelerate Studio: Business Strategies, an exclusive opportunity for designers to expand their knowledge and learn new business strategies. Created with residential designers and small business owners in mind, Steve Nobel of NOBELINKS, will present the March 27 workshop at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.
The daylong event features six Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC)-approved sessions that focus on helping interior designers build successful, sustainable businesses. Attendees can participate in the full day of accelerated learning or attend sessions a la carte.
The workshop is the first of three Accelerate Studio: Business Strategies workshops in a series sponsored by Kravet and Hearst Design Group. The program will provide proven tools and techniques for emerging interior designers and for experienced practitioners who are prepared to take their businesses to the next level of professionalism and profit.
Nobel is the founder and principal of the New York-based consulting firm NOBELINKS, where he specializes in connecting people, ideas and strategies in the luxury markets for residential design. An industry leader with more than 25 years of experience in the home furnishings market, he is an ASID Distinguished Speaker and instructor who has led seminars at the New York School of Interior Design and the Design Institute of San Diego.
A CEU presenter in design centers throughout North America, Nobel’s Accelerate Studio sessions will provide invaluable insights, practical business models and strategies that promote the value of interior design and embrace the future of the profession.
ASID launched the Accelerate Studio education program in New York in fall 2013. Future workshops are planned for August and September 2014 and will be announced later this year.

About ASID
The American Society of Interior Designers believes that design transforms lives. ASID serves the full range of the interior design profession and practice through the Society’s programs, networks and advocacy. We thrive on the strength of cross-functional and interdisciplinary relationships among designers of all specialties, including workplace, healthcare, retail and hospitality, education, institutional and residential. We lead interior designers in shared conversations around topics that matter: from
evidenced-based and human-centric design to social responsibility, well-being and sustainability. We showcase the impact of design on the human experience and the value interior designers provide.
ASID was founded nearly 40 years ago when two organizations became one — an anniversary we will recognize in 2015 — but its legacy dates back to the early 1930s. As we celebrate nearly 85 years of industry leadership, we are poised to lead the future of interior design, continuing to integrate the advantages of local connections with national reach, of small firms with big and of the places we live with the places we work, play and heal.
